Public Safety Awareness Campaign
Community Committed addresses proactive ways to promote public safety at the skatepark.
Community Committed has four objectives:
- Promote safety when participating in skateboarding and other sports by holding Free Helmet Giveaways
- Funding a free skate camp for Fitchburg children and teens with emphasis on the importance of safety while engaging in extreme sports
- Building maintenance and landscaping repairs as well as replacing signs at the park
- Purchase closed circuit video surveillance system to monitor the skate park
Special Thanks
- The United Way Day of Caring
Thank you all for the hard work, cleaning, painting and all the other work you did for us at the skatepark this summer. It’s a pleasure to work with caring and willing volunteers such as yourselves.
- Shriver School of Shirley, MA.
You have provided so much effort and gifts for the foundation and we appreciate the care shown to us with the beautiful benches you made and donated to our park. Thank you, thank you, thank you! They are a great addition.
